Hi Phil,Just a note to thank you for a fantastic holiday, I had a great time on my own bike and enjoyed being reaquainted with an Enfield, albeit a much more refined version to the one I rode in India. Many thanks for sorting out the refund with the ferry company all the lads were very grateful, please thank Ray for helping us at the ferry terminal and everyone at your office for the information passed on by Ray. We had a good ride back through France,only getting soaked on the ride home from Portsmouth.Please use my comments any way you see fit and pass on my email address to prospective customers who ask for past customer comments, UK bikers should know what a fantastic place and setup you have there. Hi Phil, Just seen Jim's article in the October CBG. It’s pretty good and - rightly - gives a very positive view of your set-up. Like Jim, we liked the informality and flexibility - it was more like going out and about with a knowledgeable (and Spanish speaking!) friend than a\\\'proper\\\' tour, and Jim\\\'s right about the last meal - fantastic. I’m not sure he did the hotel justice though; it was good, the staff were very friendly and the bike was well looked after too in the basement bike park. The Enfield was great fun on the mountain roads, I hope you do well with them. By the way I can recommend walking in the Picos as an extension to the biking holiday. Good luck & thanks! We had a great time exploring the Picos and Asturias in early September. Phil's intimate knowledge of the area ensured we got to see the very best bits of the region. Super roads, superb scenery, wonderful weather, great hospitality (from Phil, his partner Jackie and the hotel staff in Llanes) all added up to a memorable few days. The loan of the Royal Enfields for a day was, for me, a real bonus. Much lighter than my Deauville I found them an absolute hoot to ride and when we ended up on a rough track leading us high into the mountains, above even the vultures, I was glad I was on something so manageable. These bikes are ideal for exploring this sort of terrain and, with Phil guiding, you have time to take it all in. Our very sincere thanks to all concerned for a super few days.

Hi Phil, Many, many thanks for making my first riding holiday abroad an excellent one! Fantastic scenery, great roads and -above all - your intimate knowledge of the area, made it possible for me to get so much more out of the week than if I'd tried to do this independantly. I do think though, that next time (if it\\\'s July again) I\\\'ll come with some lighter motorcycle clothing to try to keep cool! My thanks also to both you and Jackie for your hospitality, warmth and guidance throughout my stay in this gorgeous part of Spain. Definately one to be repeated, I might even convince my other half to come next time! Oh...and best regards to Llanes from Yannis (ha...ha). For those who`ve not met Phil before, nothing is too much trouble and he goes out of his way to make sure you have a great holiday. The Picos, Asturias, the routes we took and Llanes itself were all better than we expected. We`re still trying to find some of those black tomatoes and Rioca (Not sure about the spelling) such as we had on the final night. Cheers both.

'The \"Black Tomatoes\" are Kumato, they are Khaki coloured and delicious, try them!!

Hi Phil, Just a note to thank you for the great holiday. Everything about it was superb, the scenery, the routes, the camaraderie and your extensive knowledge of the whole area. Your easy going and friendly nature made the whole trip into a very relaxing and enjoyable experience and it was great that everyone got on so well. The only problem was it was not long enough! I did enjoy riding the Royal Enfield even if it was a little small, it was a different way of riding and ideal for the area. So thank you for the use of the bike. I think I will always associate Asturias and the mountains and our little holiday with the sound of the engine. Putt-putt-putt-putt-putt-putt-putt-putt-putt-putt-putt. Once again thanks for everything, it was absolutely brilliant, it was great to make new friends and there is always next year for a repeat performance. Give my best regards to Jackie as well, it was nice to meet her and I\\\'m glad she joined us for the two days. Keep up the good work and hopefully we'll meet again next year, all being well. In May 2004 we rode with Phil Butler of Bike Astur whilst testing the BMW 1150Gs, new BMW 1200Gs and filming for our first MV-DVD project. I was delighted to get a second chance to meet-up with Phil for a couple of days riding in October and as promised I had brought my GSXR1000. Woohoo! Big Trailie or Hypersports, the roads and routes that Phil took us on were just awesome! Mind blowing scenery, fantastic food and of course base camp in one of the best hotels I have stayed in. I was close to the end of a gruelling but fascinating tour of inland Spain in my car, when I had a sudden urge to ride a motorbike. I had heard about Bike-Astur from the press, so I telephoned Phil from Leon entirely out of the blue and to my pleasant surprise he said he could fix me up with a mini-tour for two days around the Picos with an extra day to wander around Llanes. Within a few hours I arrived to find Phil had already booked me into an excellent hotel, all included in the price and everything arranged in record time. The next two days were spent on two characterful Enfields on a sublime tour of the most beautiful landscapes I have ever seen in Europe. It is so refreshing to find an organisation which is this flexible and Phil is not only great company, he is extremely knowledgable about the region. \r\n\r\nThis magical tour ended with a wonderful supper with wine flowing and bubbling conversation in the company of Phil and his charming partner Jackie. Dear Phil, Although we are sure you got the impression that we were more than pleased with our recent holiday with Bike-Astur, we would like to offer again our sincere thanks for a great time in the Picos de Europa with \"Rita\" everything was deemed a \"highlight\" but to select a few here goes...Lunch at Isabel\'s...vulture watching...last meal of our tour with you and Jackie...San Glorio...the weather...the views....the caves...Saturdays ride...Mondays ride etc. the Hotel and Auntie....your workshop (Trevors highlight..not Ros\'s!)
