Bring Your Own Classic Tours:

These tours are new for 2008 and give you the opportunity to ride your classic bike abroad. Here in the Picos de Europa we have some of the most spectacular scenery in Euope with roads that are unmatched anywhere. The Picos de Europa are just a short overnight cruise from Plymouth........no need for the long trek south through France.

You arrive refreshed and your adventure starts right away, we are based only 55 miles from Santander and the hotel we have selected is biker friendly with garaging for your bike at no extra charge. Each day you will be taken on a guided tour with a different destination,your guide will show you many surprising places and also give lots of background info on the things you will see.

 What bike can I bring?

These tours are intended for classic or older bikes up to the 1980s which includes airhead BMWs, Moto Guzzi & all of the British and European bikes from that era, we also include classic style bikes such as new Bonnevilles and W650s because these continue the classic theme and are ridden by some owners who need the convenience of an electric starter. Japanese bikes are OK too as long as they are 80s or earlier.

Why classic bikes abroard?

There is no better place for you to enjoy riding your pride & joy than here in the Picos de Europa, the famous Colombres Rally takes place here each year and is a mecca for everyone who really enjoys riding, add in amazing scenery, fantastic roads and the warmth of the Spanish people, its hardly surprising that our area has become THE place to experience classic biking at its best. You can ride the famous "Ruta de Cinco Mil Curvas" the Route of 5000 curves with the man who gave it the name......that'll be me then!

What if I have a problem with my bike?

We have a fully equipped workshop facility close to the hotel. It will be available for you to use should the need arise, we have all the usual equipment including: Hydraulic bench, compressor, pillar drill, pneumatic impact wrench, bench grinder and various power tools,plus of course a comprehensive set of hand tools. It is intended to be used for running repairs.

If you break down on the road we will recover your bike to the workshop for you at no charge, there you can remedy the problem. In the event that the problem cannot be fixed while you are with us, we will transport you and your bike to the ferry so that you can take your bike home with you and complete the repairs there, there will be no extra cost for this service, we offer it in order that you may have peace of mind while riding and it provides a speedy return for your bike instead of waiting for it to be repatriated by your insurers.
