Our Royal Enfield Electras are the ideal motorcycle for a touring holiday here in the Picos de Europa, they are light, un-intimidating and easy to handle on the mountain roads that are part of our tour routes. The low seat height makes it easy to get both feet firmly on the floor which good for your confidence should you have to manoeuvre at slow speed.

Are they powerful enough? Yes they are, these bikes cope easily with rider and pillion on even the steepest mountain roads. The engine has lots of torque and does not need to be revved to 5 digit figures in order to make headway. The natural cruising speed is between 50-60mph which is ideal for “Canyon Carving”, on some roads the group riding speed will be quite a bit less due to the nature of the roads, they can be very twisty. This is when you will really appreciate the excellent road holding and easy handling of the Royal Enfield Electra, at the end of a days riding you may be tired but you won’t be weary.

For your convenience all of our bikes are fitted with panniers so that you can carry a few things you may need with you while touring i.e. camera, spare sweater, over trousers etc. These bikes are very economical, the lean burn engine only uses a gallon of fuel in 100 miles, we regularly get 103-106 mpg that is riding normally and making no effort to be economical on both coastal routes and steep mountain climbs.
