Dear Phil,
Although we are sure you got the impression that we were more than pleased with our recent holiday with Bike-Astur, we would like to offer again our sincere thanks for a great time in the Picos de Europa with "Rita" everything was deemed a "highlight" but to select a few here goes...Lunch at Isabel's...vulture watching...last meal of our tour with you and Jackie...San Glorio...the weather...the views....the caves...Saturdays ride...Mondays ride etc. the Hotel and Auntie....your workshop (Trevors highlight..not Ros's!) We learnt so much about Asturian life, thanks to you Phil, on history, flora, fauna,culture food, families etc.
We still think you have the worst job in the world and feel very sorry for you having to endure such hardships....NOT although we appreciate the hard work that you put in!
Our regards to Jackie, we are keen to get down to learning Spanish and have already located a source for the Michel Thomas system..who knows we may be as fluent one day as you Phil...don't know about the Brummie (sorry Wolverhampton accent though!!) We look forward to meeting you again thanks once again Ros & Trevor Livsey |

I want to thank you for a fantastic holiday. The whole thing was just great: organisation, hotel,company and of course the routes we covered. The scenery there is just fantastic; don't ever take it for granted. I have been boring everyone at home about it and very few Brits have even thought of northern Spain. The riding was sensational, it was the most stimulating and rewarding thing I have done since learning to ski, many years ago. Hola Phil,
Just a few words from us both to say a huge thank you for making our holiday a truly enjoyable experience.
Before the holiday we really did not know what to expect and were, I must admit a little apprehensive as it was our first biking trip into Europe. We really did have no reason for concern though, as right from the initial introductions in Santander it very quickly became obvious that the tour was going to be a success. Your friendly and relaxed manner put us at ease right from the start and it just got better and better as the holiday progressed and the group started to get to know one another better. We will most definitely be back for more in the future (maybe on an Enfield for the odd day.who knows?)So once again, heres a really big "Thank you" it really was a pleasure to be on the tour.

I just wanted to put in writing my deepest and most sincere thanks, for providing me with an excellent guided tour and 1st class food and accommodation all week. I really cannot express my thanks enough for providing such a wealth of knowledge and helpfulness throughout my trip. You can be assured that I will be recommending your tours to anyone who wants to see the REAL Spain at a pace to relax and unwind.

We were both delighted with the tour - All of the arrangements from the smooth pick up at the airport, the hotel, the bikes, the routes etc. were better than we dared hope they might be. You have done the homework and it clearly shows. And I think Mark's dry sense of humour added that little bit extra enjoyment to our week.
After last years aborted start it was great to get out there and have"the experience" I will certainly be singing your praises to my colleagues over the next few months, that's for sure.

"I was close to the end of a gruelling but fascinating tour of inland Spain in my car, when I had a sudden urge to ride a motorbike. I had heard about Bike-Astur from the press, so I telephoned Phil from Leon entirely out of the blue and to my pleasant surprise he said he could fix me up with a mini-tour for two days around the Picos with an extra day to wander around Llanes. Within a few hours I arrived to find Phil had already booked me into an excellent hotel, all included in the price and everything arranged in record time. The next two days were spent on two characterful Enfields on a sublime tour of the most beautiful landscapes I have ever seen in Europe. It is so refreshing to find an organisation which is this flexible and Phil is not only great company, he is extremely knowledgable about the region.
This magical tour ended with a wonderful supper with wine flowing and bubbling conversation in the company of Phil and his charming partner Jackie. I had a great time and without hesitation recommend Bike-Astur. Excellent, 5 star operation and wonderful, personal service. A rarity anywhere in the world. In a word: Fabulous"

Thanks for the great tour we had with you last month, I saw the pictures on the website and thought it would be OK. Now I know those pictures are for real,I thought maybe you had \"borrowed\" them from somewhere else. it really is a stunningly beautiful area. We are definately booking with you in 2005 and I want a ride on those bikes you were telling us about, let me know when you take delivery of them, If you need any help running them in I will be first volunteer. In May 2004 we rode with Phil Butler of Bike Astur whilst testing the BMW 1150Gs, new BMW 1200Gs and filming for our first MV-DVD project. I was delighted to get a second chance to meet-up with Phil for a couple of days riding in October and as promised I had brought my GSXR1000. Woohoo! Big Trailie or Hypersports, the roads and routes that Phil took us on were just awesome! Mind blowing scenery, fantastic food and of course base camp in one of the best hotels I have stayed in. Hi Phil and Jackie,I was browsing your website remembering the fantastic tour you provided for us in September 2003 Looking at your picture gallery has certainly brought back happy memories for all six of us.The mountain roads the like of which we just dont encounter in Dorset still puts a smile on my face especially the one from Riaño to Cangas, Awesome!Scenery to take your breath away and the flora and fauna an absolute delightThe food in the resturants as good if not better than French resturants we have encounterd on our previous tours through France.Finally the warmth of the Asturian people was an absolute joy and so if we can arrange our lives for 2005 we all want to tour with you again ?Take care both of you.Ray Legg |

Hi Phil, Just a note to thank you for the great holiday. Everything about it was superb, the scenery, the routes, the camaraderie and your extensive knowledge of the whole area. Your easy going and friendly nature made the whole trip into a very relaxing and enjoyable experience and it was great that everyone got on so well. The only problem was it was not long enough! I did enjoy riding the Royal Enfield even if it was a little small, it was a different way of riding and ideal for the area. So thank you for the use of the bike. I think I will always associate Asturias and the mountains and our little holiday with the sound of the engine. Putt-putt-putt-putt-putt-putt-putt-putt-putt-putt-putt. Once again thanks for everything, it was absolutely brilliant, it was great to make new friends and there is always next year for a repeat performance. Give my best regards to Jackie as well, it was nice to meet her and I'm glad she joined us for the two days. Keep up the good work and hopefully we'll meet again next year, all being well.
