Sean Bartlett’s photographic and artistic abilities ensured he was constantly in demand by  regional newspapers in Cornwall where he lived. Sean’s ability to tell a story in a single shot was valued highly by editors in this very competitve industry. He was continually called upon to cover varied assignments, from mass events to Olympic and royal portraiture. In addition, Sean has provided the photographs for presentations, the advertising industry and public relations companies as well as  for both private and governmental commisions.

 The quality of his artistic expertise led to an invitation to exhibit his work at the National Film Exhibition, located in the South West Film Studios, during summer 2003. Overseas assignments include working as photographic team leader in Kenya and Tanzania, which required he visit 12 locations in  14 gruelling days. 

Sean uses top of the line professional equipment, from 35mm to 6x7 medium format film and of course, digital. It is not necessary to have top of the line professional gear to benefit from Sean’s expert guidance. In fact, with Sean´s help and advice your compact film or digital camera is capable of producing images that you will want to frame when you go home.

The easy-going, hands-on approach used by Sean will give you the confidence to get the most from your existing camera; it is not necessary to trade up to a “better” camera, the one you have will produce both snapshots and stunning images. All it takes is an understanding of its real capabilities.

Sean prefers to give his help and advice in a non-technical way so that you do not have to understand the workings of your camera, just how to use the controls to give you better results. Seans motto is, “You dont have to understand how a video works to be able to record your favourite programme,”  With a simple step by step approach, you will be on your way to capturing memorable images that you will be proud to display instead of consigning to a drawer.´
